How do I prepare the kefir with the culture?
You can easily add the culture to 1 liter of sterilized milk, stir well, and let it sit for 24 hours at 20-22 °C. Soon you'll have your delicious kefir.
How long can I store the kefir?
The homemade kefir is good for about 5 days at 5 °C and about 3 days at 10 °C. Be sure to seal it well to keep it fresh.
Can I reuse the culture multiple times?
Yes, the kefir culture can be reused multiple times. After the first batch, it's best to immediately take out 3 tablespoons of fresh kefir milk for the next preparation. To continue the fermentation, these 3 tablespoons should be added as soon as possible to a new liter of sterilized milk as described above.
